Imperfect Flower: (See unisexual flower).


Indehiscent: Refers to a fruit that doesn’t open naturally to release its seeds at maturity.


Inflorescence: The entire flowering portion of a plant; usually used to describe groups or clusters of flowers and their arrangements.


Inner Margin: The posterior edge of an insect’s wing.

Instar: One of the developmental stages of an insect larvae or other invertebrate occurring between hatch and first exoskeleton molt and following successive molts thereafter.
