Etymology

Tebenna: Most likely named for the Greek word, tebenna, meaning “toga.”

gnaphaliella: Named for the genus Gnaphalium, which was renamed Pseudognaphalium, and is one of the species the caterpillars of Tebenna gnaphaliella feed on.
