Pigritia: The Latin definiton for pigritia is “lazy” or “sluggishness.”

Overview

Pigritia is a New World genus of moths in the family Blastobasidae. Based on field marks alone, most experts agree that members of genus Pigritia are impossible to identify beyond the genus level. Accurate species identification requires either DNA analysis or genital dissection.
