Etymology

Manduca: Latin word meaning “chew” or “jaw.”

Overview

Manduca is a New World genus of moth, which currently contains about 90 recognized species. The majority of Manduca are found in Central and South America, but ten species are found in the US and four have been documented in Indiana to date, however, only two of the four have currently been submitted through the GAINLP.
