Etymology

Limnaecia: Combins the Greek word limnaea, meaning “marsh” or “lake” with the common zoological Greek suffix, ia, used to form nouns.

phragmitella: Includes the Latin word phragma, meaning “hedge” and the suffix ella, for “small.”
