Etymology

Dyseriocrania: Combination of the Greek prefix dys, meaning “difficult” or “bad,” followed by the genus, Eriocrania, which is in the same family, Eriocraniidae. Eriocrania is a combination of the Greek erion, for “wool,” with the Latin kranion, for “head” or “skull.”

griseocapitella: Combination of the Latin prefix griseus, meaning “gray,” capi, for “head,” with the suffix ella for “small.”
