Etymology

Antaeotricha: Combines of the Latin ante, meaning “in front of” or “before,” with the Greek thrix, for “hair.”

schlaegeri:Philipp Christoph Zeller, who first described this moth, likely named it after his friend and contemporary entomologist Friederich Schlaeger.
